Well first things first. I (sockless) am now in AWOL.
Now on to business. AWOL needs a theme song. ICant has one, and it's pretty cool. It needs to be original and have AWOL related lyrics, and preferably mention me in it :cool:. It would be prety cool to be like a big whole jazz band sort of song, if anyone wants to get their school jazz band involved (If your school doesn't have a jazz band, they suck). Or have it all symphonic, the epicer the better. With a sort of symphonic voice over top doing a sort of rap with little tone variation maybe. At the very least, have a saxaphone in.
I'll try to make a basic mix in Sony Acid, but don't expect it to be too epic, just a guideline. It would be good for it to be about 1:30 to 3 minutes long.

I would scan my certificate, however it doesn't say what instrument I play. So unfortunately you will only have my word.
I could try and find a DVD with me singing on it, but that would require me to actually go looking for it.

But we are not a sport team, or a school, or a country. We are a group of random gamers. And what would we do with this 'theme song'?
Make it play on the website? Hope it gets into the Australian Top40 countdown?
PS: I wouldn't want some tune playing every time I jump on the site.

A theme song is a great idea. If anyone gets around to making one, or we agree on one, then I'll do my best to make it play on the server when a command is typed in.

Admins (easy) will spam shit over mic either way, but this way he's got something decent(ish) to play.
Well if it there is no real no use, why not dedicate time to other things. Say... an MOTD. From what I've been told you guys are still using the default ulx motd. (Mind you this information could be out-dated.)
In the end, I think you people just need to get organized. Set goals and priorities and then go out and achieve them. If you insist that making a theme song is a high priority then make a new thread asking people for ideas.

erm, checked the RP thread lately?
Yes I have, and upon writing my post I completely forgot about it. However suggestions given in that post can only be worked on by Mech and Sockless.
It's obvious that we are going to continue to drift off-topic (the topic being, should AWOL have a theme song?) So... I have created a new thread which includes a poll.
