.... although I do have a consistent flow of stranded ideas flying out the back of me.
So since we're going to have the RP server up and running some time soon, why not open up with some ideas/changes, just to keep us that little bit in front of other RP servers.
1. One thing I noticed on most of the RP servers I played on was that money was always saved regardless of death/connection issues. So there was no decent banking/deposit system..
Depending on the map used, various atm's could be placed around the map which act as access points to your cash, as well as a single area/prop which can act as safe deposit boxes in a bank, to store items.
2. Carrying on from the banking system... droppng a wallet or a small box which contains your possessions upon the players death. Bringing more reason to use the banking system. Other RP servers play it too easily in terms of their money. Let the players give a bit more care for their money.
3. Instead of carrying the actual weapon itself, why not have Concealable Weapons which are presentin your inventory, but aren't present in your weapon slots. Upon using hte concealed weapon, the weapon appears in your weapon slot.
Solo Classes/Roles
Non-Combative, Legal.
Chef, Cooks Food,
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Stove to spawn food.
Lawyer, Defends/Frees Prisoners,
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Court Hearing, can be signed by lawyer, prisoner and any law member to free the prisoner.
Repairman, Fixes/Repairs items such as gunlabs, druglabs, stoves, etc..
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Tool Belt, allowing them to repair the items/structures.
Doctor, Heals players/self,
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Medpack which heals self or players, & First-Aid Kits which can be given/sold to players to allow them to heal themselves for 50% hp.
Bartender, Sells Alcohol/Beverages/Snacks
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Snack Pile which the bartender can purchase snacks at discounted price to sell to players... + Vending Machine which the bartender can again purchase alcohol/beverages at discounted prices to sell to players.
Combative, Legal.
Bodyguard, Chosen by players to protect them,
Class-Specific Skill/Item = 200% health + Stunstick
Boxer, RP Entertainment...
Clas-Specific Skill/Item = 150% Health + Crowbar -- should only be used against other boxers/challengers.
Non-Combative, Illegal
Arms Dealer, Sells Weapons,
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Gun Labs for each weapon which allows only th arms dealer to purchase from for a fixed reduced value, which they can later sell to players for their own prices.
Forger, Can forge Court Hearing documents, signatures and lockpicks.
Class-Specific Skill/Item =
Can forge Court hearing documents and signatures (relating to lawyers)
Forgers Workbench, Used for creating single use lockpicks
Posseses a Master Lock Pick (Infinite Uses)
Drug Dealer, Sells Drugs (Each drug will give different effects)
Class-Specific Skill/Item - Drug Labs for each drug, which allows only the drug dealer to purchase from for a fixed reduced value, which they can later sell to players for their own prices.
Bomb Maker, Sells explosives (hl2: frag/SLAM // css: HE, flash, smoke)
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Bomb Labs for each bomb which allows only the Bomb Maker to purchase from for a fixed reduced value, which they can later sell to palyers for their own prices.

Saboteur, Intercepts CP Messages + Can Break Machinery (gun labs, drug labs, bomb labs etc)
Class-Specific Skill/Item = Saboteur can intercept broadcasts and CP Only messages + Knife + Glock ..... Also if he is within reach of any machinery he can place a device (sapper?) onto the machinery, making it begin to lose health (25% each sap, machinery cannot be sapped more than once at a time)
Law Upholding
Mayor, Runs the town/city(map)

If agreed to by the Civil Protection Chief, can initiate Lockdown (Mayor or CPC can turn off Lockdown by themselves)
