2010 css team

Ok ive had many questions as to setting up the CSS team..... again. I will take on the responsibility of running the server and team ... again :P...
So I need all interested of playing regularly to post themselves on THIS thread. We also need Fill ins / reserves . All players will need to register with our team on the CG website (which is the ladder we would play on when it all goes ahead).

So far i will assume that the following members are committed..

Superted. (me)
Dot.
Biggsy.
NinjaWilko.
Umbra.

Alucard, Artea, Sylver, Easy, Mech, and Hells ... Pls let us know if u r interested again.

Will post the CG register site when i have updated the team registration.
We will not commence on the ladder untill we have a full team. And some organisation has been doen on my part.

We are looking at having a scrim when Ninja gets back to me about our oppenents.

hehe sorry it has been a while since I browsed the forums mah bad :o anyway I'm in 100%!! And am happy to help out in any way I can. Also I don't know about you guys but I was wondering if you wanted to be a bit more serious this time? Try out some strats etc.

I would yes ... training would be good now that we have the server. But there is a point of course some of us do have work and other rl commitments so training would have to be at a real weird time ... like early sat morning or friday nights or sunday day .. sumthing like that

I work every Thursday night, and every 2nd Sunday morning. But otherwise I'm all free... Will check with FOA tomorrow about the remainder of their team. Also, I train with some of them on Friday nights as I know them from school, so I know a lot of their strategies and tactics.

That is a good point actually. I have something on every night now so i would be ok with like 9pm or later training jus for an hour or so but yeh we will have to get times from everyone and jus see where we can fit it in. Would be fun i think.

I think sunday arvos are prolly the go by the sounds of that .... i mean we will have to war when we are challenged but that is usually like 8.30 at night tue - fri .

Yes 8.30 is good for me most days except a few so I agree with wilko we might need a few backups.

yeah .. i am sending clarky a graphics card so he can compete 2. Chevron said he can be a reserve . Ill ask easy and etc. today but we shouldnt have problems with that. This is why....

When we are challenged they have to pick 3 seperate days with 3 seperate times ...
So between us we pick the time and date that suits us best.

It is the same when we challenge .. except then we must be reay to play on any of the 3 times/days we put forward

Thanks And Congradulations to the guys. Good win on the weekend. only a scrim i know but it was still a promising show. the team work was good ... could be better but still definatly will be competative come our first ladder match. (which btw could be soon, as we are now active on the ladder and open to be challenged ) . Lets try and sort some prac this week running the bot system and ... Yeah GOOD SHOW

We did really well, in the CT round the opponents definately got better.

Some things I noticed that we could do better whilest playing:
- Snipers
- The team sniper needs to have a person with a non-sniping weapon protecting them, as they can be a flanking team if the main team is stuck in a firefight.
- Backup
- Calling for backup needs to happen more often, as we all forgot to call in where the enemies were at different points.
- Defensive Positions
- We could do with practicing more against some bots, and finding the best defensive positions available to cover all angles of attack. An example from yesterday: Defending Bomb Site B, we were all preoccupied covering the tunnel, opponents flanked us from the door.

Thats what I think we could improve on. Im sure over people picked up some other stuff, and picked up on all of our strengths and weaknesses.

Yeh IMO the last practice session was a bit weak we didn't do a lot. Though that is partly my fault as I had nothing ready for us to practice. I am working on some strats right now and I think we should do another practice very soon in which we can go over some defensive ct strats and we can work on our team work a bit. Also I would like a list of all players who seriously plan to play on the team. I am not going to talk for others but it seemed last time we had this going many people thought they would just play whenever it suited them, if we are going to make this work we need everyone to be comitted to the team. I would like firstly everyone who intends to join the team (or has already joined) to add me to their steam friends if they have not already (@ -=AWOL=- Umbra). Then we can go from there.

Dot will be the first reserve shall any of us be unable to attend. Dot will also be guaranteed a spot in the the 2nd war. Replacing either Hells, Biggsy or myself.

Last time i asked you to war with us you declined because GMOD was more important!
even though we needed you. Sigh .
